Listen!!. I will explain it one last time. I love this. Exactly this, a frame, very very old, very very worn. You can still see that one upon a time it was very very beautiful and probably framing a very very important painting. But that was then and this is now. Now there are pieces of plaster missing, some brown is showing beneath the black, and the gilding is not so glitzy any more.
And I just love it. I use these kind of frames to hang much smaller paintings in it. And should I find a painting that fits snugly in the this frame, I will nail it stuck in the frame.
You don't like it, no problem. I have enough frames that are in pristine condition (with pristine prices to go with it ) But this, I just love it like this.
