Antique gilded balls, wood, curtain rod ends , Italy, around 1900
Availability: | In stock |
These were once very nice ends of a curtain rod, in Italy. And then not from a modest apartment at the outskirts of Milan. But from a stunning palazzo, somewhere in Florence. Where sunlight shimmered through veil like soft curtains, slowly waving in the wind, almost dancing, almost waltzing.
Yeah right, I just made that up. And I have really no clue if these once belonged to a simple home or an palazzo. What I do know, that much is true, is that I bought them on a market in Toscane.
One of them has a little 'pie' missing from the base. But that has been taken into account in the price. The price is for the pair and they will only be sold as a pair.
Dimensions: height 8 cm, diameter ball 6 cm, diameter foot 4 cm.
