Painting in 5 panels of a stunning naked man, oil and acryl on MDF, by Joan Stegeman-Klink, around 1990
Availability: | In stock |
This stunning man, with an amazing body is painted in oil and acrylic paint on MDF. Rather a lot and thick MDF, since it is a rather large painting. I have photographed a can of Coca Cola in front of it in one of the photo's. So you can have an idea how large, large is in this case.
It is not the size of the painting that made that is was divided in 5 panels. It was always like that. It was originally created to serve as a folding screen, but because of the weight of the MDF, it was almost impossible to fold it.
So that is why the hinges were removed and ever since it serves as a rather amusing painting. In Summer with this stunning Adonis showing, in Winter you can turn it and you will have a bit more moody painting with putti's, music sheets and some architectural details. You'll find a photo of the backside here below and somewhere in the shop it is an separate item, with all the details. So if you buy this Adonis, you automatically buy the putti's and angels as well. Two for one, always nice.
The painter is known, it is Joan Stegeman-Klinker and it was painted around 1995.
It can be shipped, but not for the regular snail mail rates. It is to large for that. But for a small but reasonable fee, I will make sure it will be delivered at your doorstep. Or you can come and pick it up in the warehouse. No problem.
Dimensions: height 198 cm, width (all the panels together) 176 cm.
