Yep, silently but surely more and more tin toys find their way to my shop. I grew up, surrounded by tin toys. Both my father as my mother were fervent collectors. Even after their divorce they both kept adding to their collection. And it seems that I have caught the virus.
This one is a bit worn. I will try to carefully polish the rust a bit with wax and fine steel wool. It might even get a little shine again.
But what I really liked about can be found on the bottom. There is still a very old price tack. With written on it the old, pre- euro, price. fl 25,-. Twenty five guilders. And yes, I would like to have € 25,- for it now.
Inflation is a bitch. Always that stupid inflation.
