It is hard to believe but this ball worked in it's previous life as a floating device for the nets of fishermen. Once upon the time when plastic was non -exsistend and cork more expansive then glass, the nets were kept afloat with these glass balls.
And even more amazing, there are quite a few that survived. And that really tells something about their quality. And nowadays they are nice enough to decorate with. Because it is really a beauty, in a stunning green.
